Boodschap van FINK:
Dear friends - we have made the difficult decision to cancel our European tour in the spring of next year, 2022. This is a very hard message for us to write, and believe us when we say it’s a conclusion we have not come to lightly. Far from it: the three of us were incredibly excited about getting out there again and playing for you all. But after much deliberation we’ve realised that there’s no way of us effectively and safely undertaking such a big tour, to so many countries, while this pandemic rages on. We’re so sorry to everyone who has supported us and bought tickets; we sincerely hope we can one day make it up to you. Thanks also to our team who’ve already worked hard to try and make these shows happen. We’re going to use the time to try and make some new music, and we’ll be back as soon as we can. Sinds Fin Greenall's transformatie van elektronische muziek naar singer-songwriter heeft hij inmiddels meer dan tien bejubelde albums uitgebracht onder deze artiestennaam. Daarvoor werkte hij in de studio samen met grootheden als John Legend, Amy Winehouse, Ximena Sariñana en Professor Green én boekte hij ongelooflijk veel live succes.
In 2019 na drie jaar lang touren, deed Fin een akoestische tour die hem terugbracht naar het gevoel van 'the early days'. Dit werd de inspiratie voor llUll ("it isn't until it is). Veel oude nummers worden hier in een nieuwe jasje gestoken, een combinatie van the early days en de groei die Fin en zijn band hebben meegemaakt.
"IIUII, is a retrospective, but it’s just as much about the here and now. To rerecord those songs with the maturity we have achieved is about viewing the past through the lessons it has taught, not just remastering and repeating it. This was a chance to listen back through all the records, appreciate them for what they are, separate from the usual demands of which songs work on stage – and then give each song the treatment it deserves."
